Malaysia Internet Alliance recently gathered 25 eminent e-entrepreneurs and members, and launched a 6-day 5-night Visit Taiwan trip to boost knowledge exchange, collaborations and promote business opportunities between the two countries.
The Internet industry of Taiwan is notable for having countless e-entrepreneurs with creative brains and continuous innovation. According to Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs, e-retailers in Taiwan have experienced an explosive growth in the recent years. In the last year alone, e-retailers created NT$ 1,948 billion worth of revenue, forming an unstoppable innovative economic model. With such a remarkable growth, the Internet businesses in Taiwan should be studied learned, and be a role model for many in Malaysia.
Invited by Institute For Information Industry of Taiwan and other authorities concerned, our Malaysian delegates had organized this Visit Taiwan trip in hopes of facilitating knowledge exchange and exploring the opportunity for further collaborations between Taiwan and Southeast Asia.
The visiting delegates from Malaysia consisted of seven web hosts, seven software vendors, six E-Commerce companies, two logistic companies, a social media, and a computer hardware company. Representing Taiwan were sixteen internet related businesses.
The President of Internet Alliance hoped to foster a good relationship, initiate interaction with the internet businesses in Taiwan, and explore more opportunities between the two countries, including humbly learning the unique working model and the good e-business practice from Taiwan.
Our delegates made the first stop at Malaysian Friendship and Trade Centre to understand the requirements and procedures for a Malaysian company to open a business in Taiwan.
