CARI & Internet Alliance (IA) Jointly Called for All Internet Businesses to Join IA and Work Hand In Hand!
With the rapid development of science and technology, we have now come to the true era of the Internet. Although the Internet world is virtual, it is developed and expanded for and by humans. In this Internet age, whether it is our daily lives or business, almost everything around us are now ‘internetized’. It is now compulsory for all Malaysians to deepen their Internet knowledge and understanding.
The rise of the Internet has resulted in the mushrooming of countless e-entrepreneurs. From product sales, service delivery, innovation management, to even entertainment and the media, the momentum to develop the respective areas of the Internet is now in full force. In Malaysia, the development prospects of Internet companies are impressive. However, over the recent years, when the dominant force of foreign internet businesses became prevalent, the amazing pace of development has greatly impacted the Internet business market of Malaysia. Therefore, it is of utmost importance for all Internet businesses in Malaysia to stay united and combine their efforts to form a strong force to counter the global challenges they would face in the future.
To protect the future of the Internet business in Malaysia, CARI (www.cari.com.my) and the Internet Alliance (www.internetalliance.my) have joined hands to organise the very first “Internet Business Knowledge Exchange Conference”, which has successfully gathered 38 notable local internet companies for extensive knowledge exchange.
Since it was a rainy day, many were late for the event. The late comers gradually filled up the conference room. Due to limited space, some were standing throughout the event.
The biggest goal of the conference is to gather views, ideas and goals in regard to the prospects of the Malaysian Internet business industry from all Internet-related businesses. Over half of the attendees expressed their hope to stand on the same line in face of global challenges and competitions.
The CEO of CARI, Mr. Liew Chew Keat, who was also present at the event called for all local Internet companies to stay united and join the Internet Alliance as “unity is strength”, and make use of the effective knowledge exchange platform. The attendees of this event have also reached a consensus to join and stay active, so that the Internet Alliance can play a major role in representing the Internet business of Malaysia, and integrating the voices of all Internet business owners, as well as offering the much-needed support and platforms for collaborations. At the same time, the Internet Alliance will also facilitate interactions and further exchanges on practical experiences with government agencies, foreign internet business owners as well as businesses from other industries.
The main purpose of this conference is to safeguard the interests of all the members, leverage on each other, provide a platform to expand the local Internet business markets, Internet knowledge sharing, and bring everyone together to face stronger competition worldwide. In addition, during the conference, participants also jointly agreed to create a recognised list of standards, blueprints, and even ethical codes, and to eliminate the black sheep in the Internet industry. In the coming future, the Internet Alliance will soon have a series of knowledge-sharing Internet-related conferences, seminars, and events.
Internet business owners from various areas raised their hands to indicate their willingness to join the Internet Alliance.
As a conclusion, the biggest ever Malaysian Internet Industry Exchange Conference has successfully led local Internet businesses to stay united and become the biggest Internet Association in the Malaysia, opening a new page and reaching a new milestone for the Malaysian Internet industry!
